Microfluidic Synthesis of Hydrogel Microparticles with Superparamagnetic Colloids Embedded at Prescribed Positions for Anticounterfeiting Applications

A microfluidic platform for continuous synthesis of hydrogel microparticles with superparamagnetic colloids (SPCs) embedded at prescribed positions is described. The shape the cross-linked microparticle independently controlled by stop–flow lithography, whereas position trapped SPCs are dictated virtual magnetic moulds made 2D nickel patches facilitating trapping. spatial collectively function as a binary code matrix product authentication. Analytical and finite element methods combined to optimize trapping efficiency systematically investigating field microgradients produced patches. It envisioned that proposed will contribute development soft matter inspired quality control, tracking anti-counterfeiting technologies.
